Resources to Help Cope with the Events in Haiti

Published: Tuesday January 26, 2010, 8:45 am

As the tragic effects of the earthquake in Haiti unfold, I want to take this opportunity to remind you of resource information, through the University’s WorkLife Program offered through Corporate Counseling Associates (CCA), for faculty and staff who may need assistance. CCA provides information regarding ways to locate missing persons in Haiti, resources for volunteering and contributing to relief efforts, and opportunities for counseling. CCA may be contacted 24 hours a day/seven days a week at 800.833.8707 or Click Here to access their Website.

Please Click Here for resources to help cope with the events in Haiti (scroll down to the last item listed). These materials provide information regarding:

-Locating missing persons in Haiti
-Resources for volunteering and contributing to relief efforts
-Guidelines for talking to children following natural disasters
-Tips for coping with traumatic events
