Tribute to CUNY Vice Chancellor Ernesto Malave

The College community is invited to a telecast of “A Celebration of the Life of CUNY Vice Chancellor Ernesto Malave,” which will be held this Friday, February 5 in the Library Theater (Building 1L, Room 103 ) from 10:00am to noon.

Ernesto Malave, Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance at The City University of New York, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 22, 2009. He was 51 years old. Throughout his 27-year career at CUNY, including the last six years as the University’s chief financial officer, he was known for his keen financial acumen, creative leadership, and genuine concern for students and colleagues alike. His distinguished and dedicated service enhanced the University in every way.
